FIRST is a non-profit organization For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology for high school students. The purpose of FIRST is "to create a world where science and technology are celebrated... where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes..." -Dean Kamen.

   Each FIRST team has six weeks to build a robot to play a game created by FIRST. Each team then competes in regionals across the world. At the end of April, many teams compete in the Championships in Atlanta!
